Patent claim CSPT product

The introduction of article code CSPT, an adaptor with which it becomes possible and easy to tension the springs of Crawford industrial doors, is being delayed due to a patent claim that we received from Cardo AB / Crawford. The claim is that FlexiForce infringes on one of the patents in which they prevent the use of adaptors on their specially designed spring fittings. Springs with these spring fittings now can only be tensioned by using a special ratched tool, that is not free available on the market. The aim is clear, Cardo/Crawford wants to do everything possible to avoid that you, the independent door producer, can come into the position where it is easy for you to do maintenance/after sales service to Crawford doors.  FlexiForce has stopped the supply of CSPT for the moment. Our R&D-department is carefully looking at the patents and we are confident that in the short term, we will introduce an adjusted solution for the same goal. We are convinced that opening up the total after sales service market for our customers is a strategic goal to increase business and ensure the market for "independent overhead doors".  We will keep you posted on our alternative solutions on this device.
