As we informed you already, the world wide prices for raw materials, especially steel, are increasing rapidly and significantly. Prices for galvanised sheet steel and spring wire not only increase, there is also uncertainty about the availability of sufficient material for the European market. This is driven by the growing steel demand in Asia (China and India) and USA. Furthermore, the exhange rate between US-dollar and Euro has seriously changed to our dis-advantage, which means that importing products into Europe has become more expensive.
For us, unfortunately, it means that we are forced to increase the prices of our products by July 1st, 2010.

You will see that it is difficult to find one price trend, because even per product there could be changes in increases or decreases. This is due to the fact that:

- we have different suppliers for the same type of product (f.e. stampings from Taiwan, China and Europe);

- the effects per region of sourcing (Taiwan, Europe, USA, China) are different;

- we have different stock levels and annual use per product, which defines the timing of price changes;

- we buy in RMB, Euro, HUF and US-$ currencies which all face major exchange rate fluctuations;

- transport rates are increasing all over the world;

- raw material pricing is different per global region, but also different per FlexiForce subsidiary based on the need for new steel in FlexiForce Hungary, Netherlands and Spain.

This explains the individual price changes per product. We are pleased with the fact that we were able to keep price increases on some major product groups (like steel profiles and track sets) limited. We will keep you updated on the development of prices in the direction of 2010-Q4 through our website and @-info news letters.
