We have added a new light curtain to our product range: the forceLC4. The system is specially developed and designed to safeguard all types of industrial doors.
The forceLC4 is a very reliable SIL 2 certified safety curtain. Ideally designed for door openings up to 10m wide and door closure speeds up to 1.6 m/s. The opening speed that can be handled is up to 3 m/s. The light curtain is approved as a stand-alone safety device on every sectional overhead door, and it can be integrated in all types of door control systems. Next to this we also have an extension cable available.
The main advantage of using the forceLC4 versus other safety solutions is that the light curtain can be easily installed in the vertical track system. Next to this, the system is very unlikely to get damaged, and it can be used for doors up to 10m wide. All of these features for a cost-effective solution!
How does it work?
When the door closes, each of the single light beams (22 in total) are covered in sequence (the so-called blanking). When there are unexpected obstacles in the curtain range, the forceLC4 will send a signal to the door opener to stop.
The forceLC4 is a contactless security system, as opposed to the traditional DW switch and opto, that first need to make contact with a person or vehicle before the door stops. Next to this, the forceLC4 is easier to install through Plug and Play. Because of the fixation in the rails it gives a sleek look to the door.
